Resources for Multimedia Writing
From Resources
This wiki is a space where we can collaboratively keep a track of good resources that are available to people who are creating multimedia compositions. It's intended primarily for students in Madeleine Sorapure's multimedia writing classes at UC Santa Barbara, although everyone with good links to share is welcome. The categories below are starting points; feel free to add more and to add new pages within the categories. Down at the bottom of this page are resources that can help you get started editing/adding to the wiki pages here.

software
Ok, so proprietary software isn't the only game in town now, with open source and Web 2.0 alternatives. Still, there's a lot to be said for Photoshop in particular, and there are lots of tutorials, resources, and downloads that will make it way easier for you to express your creativity in Photoshop (and InDesign, Illustrator, and Flash). I'm also including categories for other programs commonly used in multimedia writing.
